1. Snow Alert: The National Weather Service is predicting anywhere from 1 to 3 inches or more of snow Tuesday afternoon and evening in the West Roxbury area.

2. Recycle Your Styrofoam: Dedham will hold a Styrofoam recycling event on Saturday, Dec. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Dedham Middle School front parking lot located on Whiting Avenue. The event is free for Dedham residents (proof of residency is required). Non-residents will be charged $10/car load. For more information, click here.

3. Morning Book Group: A morning book group will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the Dedham Public Library to discuss "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls.

4. Girl Scout Cookies are back: It's the most wonderful time of the year, and we aren't just talking about all the different holidays. Girl Scout cookies are now on sale! Even better news: You don't need to wait for a pigtailed moppet to come banging on your door to get your fix. Click here to search for nearby places to buy your Thin Mints and Tagalongs.
