Service Day at Mother Brook Arts Center; and Dedham Retired Men's Club

The Dedham Library branches have launched a new program with Tail Waggin' Tutors to encourage young readers to read while sitting with therapy dogs.


  1. On Friday learn more about the Dedham Retired Men's Club at 9:30 a.m. at the Endicott Estate. DA Morrissey will talk about his work with drug forfeiture, drug take back, school security, school partnerships, and more. The Dedham Retired Men's Club invites retired men to come to the meeting, and enjoy meeting other retired men.
  2. On Saturday and Sunday there will be a Letter & Lark Trunk Show with MBACC artist Colleen Ellse, a letterpress printer. Colleen's studio, Letter & Lark, is a custom letterpress studio which focuses on creating beautiful work through thoughtful design and quality printing. Sat., Sept. 14 from noon to 4 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 15 from noon to 3 p.m. Dedham Square Artist Guild, 553 High St.

On Saturday at 10 a.m., Whole Foods Market Dedham is calling all kids, families and adults to come together for a day of service at the Mother Brook Arts & Community Center. 123 High St. The space will be cleaned up, painted and ready for a fabulous lineup of events this coming fall, including the Kaleidoscope gala event, Open Studios exhibits, classes and workshops,  performances and more. Volunteer activities will include painting, weeding, cleaning, moving furniture, planting and more.  Snacks, lunch and giveaways will be provided. Join the cleanup here
