- The Dedham Library branches have launched a new program with Tail Waggin' Tutors to encourage young readers to read while sitting with therapy dogs.
- Sign up for the Dedham Girls Softball Pitching Clinic on Oct. 6. The cost to players will be $300. Everyone planning to attend tryouts must register on-line at www.dedhamgs.com.

- On Thursday, the Conservation Commission is meeting at Town Hall at 7 p.m. with a scheduled agenda item to discuss a possible Emeritus Trail, specifically a "request for determination of applicability from the Town of Dedham for the construction of a trail and a small footbridge as well as brush removal between the Emeritus property and Whitcomb Woods."
