Paradise Cafe Gamers Night; Girls Softball Pitching Clinic; and Conservation Commission

Volunteers are wanted for Dedham Open Studios taking place on Sun. Oct. 6.


  1. Attention gamers, Paradise Cafe hosts gamers on the second Thursday each month, bring a board game and join the fun. Join Mass Fun and Games on Meetup, use your computer to get out from your behind your computer. Game Night in Paradise starts at 6 p.m. and goes for... 565 High St. 
  2. The Dedham Library branches have launched a new program with Tail Waggin' Tutors to encourage young readers to read while sitting with therapy dogs. 
  3. Sign up for the Dedham Girls Softball Pitching Clinic on Oct. 6. The cost to players will be $300. Everyone planning to attend tryouts must register on-line at www.dedhamgs.com.  
  4. Volunteers are wanted for Dedham Open Studios taking place on Sun. Oct. 6. Email info@dedhamopenstudios.org if you're an art-loving, local volunteer.
  5. On Thursday, there is a job fair at Whole Foods Market for part time jobs at 300 Legacy Place. No appointment necessary. 8 a.m.
  6. On Thursday, the Conservation Commission is meeting at Town Hall  at 7 p.m. with a scheduled agenda item to discuss a possible Emeritus Trail, specifically a "request for determination of applicability from the Town of Dedham for the construction of a trail and a small footbridge as well as brush removal between the Emeritus property and Whitcomb Woods."
