1. Waste Management began collecting trash and recycling in the town of Dedham, as of Thursday, Jan. 2. Residents should note that there will be no changes to their regular trash and recycling schedules.

2. Be sure to stay with Dedham Patch throughout the first major snow storm of 2014 with the Dedham Patch Storm Center.

3. We're also looking for your best snow-storm photos from Dedham! Have great shots from in and around town during the storm? Upload them here!

4. The Good Art Series is a new series in Dedham that features an artist or a group of artists each month for the year of 2014. The series is held out of St. Susanna’s Parish, and the goal of the series is to support the “Good Art” around us and create a forum for all of our local communities to come together and foster good fellowship. This series is free and open to all and for all people. For more information, click here.

5. A new year has arrived . . . have you set any resolutions? If so, here are four tips for keeping them in 2014.

No changes to trash or recycling pickup? Still looking at Recycling bins outside, now in a foot of snow! They were supposed to be picked up yesterday.

Hi Colleen - apologies for the confusion. There are to be no regular changes to normal days/routes based on the new contract w/ WM. However, the town just issued a notice this morning that WM has postponed trash pickup for today and trash/recycling will be collected on Saturday Jan. 4 for the remaining routes. There was a one-day delay this week, as well, due to the holiday on Wednesday. Just updated our storm center and will continue to provide updates as they arise throughout the day.
