Monday Essentials: Town Buying Property for New Town Hall; Free Prostate Screening

Whole Foods is hosting an open to the public speed dating night on Thursday!


  1. The Board of Selectmen voted in support of the town purchasing property on Rustcraft Road to site a new town hall, police station, senior center, and more. The whole project is estimated to cost $28 million.
  2. What are you doing on Monday? How about getting a free prostate screening at Dedham Medical Associates. Early prostate cancer has no symptoms and screening for all men 40 and older is key.   3. On Thursday from 6-8 p.m., the the Riverdale School PTO Open House is taking place. Come and check out the school, meet the PTO and more.
  4. Whole Foods is hosting a Singles Speed Dating night on Thursday at 6 p.m. You can get 10 dates in one night! You'll talk to dates for 7 minutes, find out about 
each date and will get a sense of how you feel. This event is open to the public. Culinary Room at the Dedham Whole Foods. 
The dates are one-on-one. Great food to eat, prizes, singles and lots of fun.

  5. On Saturday, the Dedham Board of Health will hold a Flu Clinic and Health Fair at the Dedham Middle School. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Flu Insurance forms can be downloaded from the town website www.dedham-ma.gov or picked up at the Health Department. The Health Fair will have blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring, vision screening, flu shots and more.
