Last Minute Shopping Event at Dedham Square Artist Guild

Here are five things you need to know in Dedham for Wednesday, Dec. 18.

1. Shop Local this Holiday Season: The Dedham Square Artist Guild will host a "Guys Gift Assist Night" from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday for last minute shoppers. Barbara Trainer will be on hand to assist patrons with picking out the perfect gift for their loved ones. 

2. Library Happenings: Ms. Marsha will be at the Dedham Public Library for Play 'N' Learn, a hands-on learning program for ages 3-6, Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. 

3. Ring in the New Year: No plans for New Year's Eve? Kings in Dedham is offering local residents to book a celebration with them for friends and family. Full details are available here.

4. Recycle Your Styrofoam: Dedham will hold a Styrofoam recycling event on Saturday, Dec. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Dedham Middle School front parking lot located on Whiting Avenue. The event is free for Dedham residents (proof of residency is required). Non-residents will be charged $10/car load. For more information, click here.

5. Girl Scout Cookies are back: It's the most wonderful time of the year, and we aren't just talking about all the different holidays. Girl Scout cookies are now on sale!
