Friday Night Music, Sports Schedules and a Superintendent Search

A roundup of five things to know in Dedham for Friday, Dec. 20.

1. The Paradise Cafe in Dedham Square will welcome the performance of damian, Chris and Daigo on Friday, Dec. 20 at 8:30 p.m. The event will be free of charge and for all ages. If you feel like a drink, choose from a selection of 20 beers and 24 wines, all available by glass or bottle.

2. The Mother Brook Arts and Community Center (formerly the Avery School) will host December's Acoustic Jam performance on Friday, Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring an instrument to join in on the session; the Dedham School of Music is also welcoming donations in an effort to provide guidance for beginning and casual musicians. 

3. The Dedham School Committee is actively welcoming qualified candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schoolsaccording to an announcement recently posted to the Dedham Public Schools website.

4. Noble & Greenough will host three of New England's premier tournaments on Dec. 20 through Dec. 22. 5. If you're still in need of a Christmas Tree, AJT Supplies will be holding its annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser through the weekend at its Westwood Location at 210 Providence Hwy., as well as its West Roxbury Location at 4945 Washington St. All proceeds will be donated to Boston's Children's Hospital.
