Free Screening at Dedham Theatre; Singles Speed Dating for 45 & Older; and a Tea Party

Whole Foods is hosting a Singles Speed Dating night on Thursday at 6 p.m. You can get 10 dates in one night!


  1. On Wednesday, enjoy a free advance screening of the new movie "Baggage Claim at 7:30 p.m. at the Dedham Theatre. Arrive early as seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and not guaranteed. 
  2. The Board of Selectmen voted in support of the town purchasing property on Rustcraft Road to site a new town hall, police station, senior center, and more. The whole project is estimated to cost $28 million. Here are the next steps for the Rustcraft Road proposal.
  3. On Thursday from 6-8 p.m., the the Riverdale School PTO Open House is taking place. Come and check out the school, meet the PTO and more.
  4. Whole Foods is hosting a Singles Speed Dating night on Thursday at 6 p.m. You can get 10 dates in one night! You'll talk to dates for 7 minutes, find out about 
each date and will get a sense of how you feel. This event is open to the public. Culinary Room at the Dedham Whole Foods. 
The dates are one-on-one. Great food to eat, prizes, singles and lots of fun.

  5. On Saturday, mothers and daughters (ages 3+) are invited to a Fancy Nancy tea party at the Endicott Branch Library at 257 Mt. Vernon St. Grandmothers and other caregivers are welcome, too. The event tea party includes a reading of a Fancy Nancy story, have fancy treats, do fancy activities, and have a fancy good time!   6. On Saturday, the Dedham Board of Health will hold a Flu Clinic and Health Fair at the Dedham Middle School. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Flu Insurance forms can be downloaded from the town website www.dedham-ma.gov or picked up at the Health Department. The Health Fair will have blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring, vision screening, flu shots and more.
