Dedham’s Holiday Stroll, Tree Lighting Friday Night

Here’s what you need to know for Friday, Dec. 6.

Holiday Stroll Friday Night -
Dedham’s Annual holiday stroll and tree lighting is Friday night in Dedham Square from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Friday night the streets of Dedham Square will be filled with street performers, costumed characters and entertainers, Victorian carolers, music from the Dedham Middle and High School bands and an a cappella group. The AMP 103.3 Street Team will also be on hand to cover the event.

Santa Claus is scheduled to make his arrival at 6:30 p.m., followed by the tree lighting.

Discover Music and Art Coat Drive - During Friday night’s holiday stroll, Discover Music and Art will be holding a Coat Drive to support Circle of Hope, an organization that provides clothing and  basic necessities to thousands of homeless children, women, and men in the Boston area.  Donors will receive a $20 coupon for classes with Discover Music and Art. No limits. Each coupon is good for one semester. Private and group classes. No expiration date. Friday’s Forecast - Clouds and showers, could have an afternoon lull before more rain moves in during the evening. Changing to snow after midnight, as we near predawn Saturday. Temps drop from 51 in the morning down into the lower 40s by evening.
