Catmobile Comes to Dedham, Selectmen to Meet

A roundup of five things to know in Dedham for Thursday, Jan. 2.

1. The Catmobile will arrive at PetCo in Dedham on Thursday for a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Operated by the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (MRFRS)The Catmobile is staffed by a licensed veterinarian and a veterinary technician, and offers low-cost spay and neuter services for cats only. The package consists of spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, exam, nail trim, treatment for fleas and ear mites. Spay package costs $100 and neuter package costs $80. The package is available to anyone and there is no qualification process, but reservations are required and can be made by online at www.catmobile.org, or by calling 978-465-1940.

2. The Dedham Board of Selectmen will meet Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Francis O'Brien Meeting Room at Dedham Town Hall. For the full agenda, click here.

3. Christmas Tree Pickup Reminder: The Department of Public Works will be picking up Christmas Trees on your trash collection day through Jan. 31. Trees should be left on the curbside along with trash.

4. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service in advance of the incoming snow storm expected to hit Thursday and Friday.
