A BIG THANKS FOR FLAG DAY FROM DGS!
Packed streets, loaded floats , beautiful vehicles, awesome bands, top level entertainment, famous people, Dedham residents, and a beautiful night were mixed together and all on display in the Flag Day Parade last Wednesday June 13. To help say goodbye to their Spring 2012 season, Dedham Girls Softball rode a float and marched the parade with dozens of our players, parents, and coaches tossing candy and saying thanks and hello to the residents of Dedham who returned the waves and loves and made for a perfect night on all levels.
This night would never have been possible without the help of the sponsors that we have mentioned in past articles and around the town and various websites. However, the night would have PHYSICALLY not have been possible without the BIGGEST, BADDEST, LONGEST, & LOUDEST TRUCK in the parade graciously donated by Andrews Trucking Industries of Dedham. Thanks Mike for the Parade and for all you do for Dedham Girls Softball.
Now that the Spring is over, come on down and support the girls as many of them started playing in the Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League this week. The HGGSL, which runs through July, has 4 Dedham teams this year (10U, 2 12Us, and 14U) and plays half their games in Dedham at Sugrue (10A and 12A), Churchill (12B) and Condon (14A). Come down and get your softball fix while seeing the girls improve and have a great time on the diamond!
