The winner is in for where you think the best place to get a scoop of ice cream in the Dedham area. And, after the comments and votes have been counted, the winner is ... Ron's Gourmet Ice Cream!

This Dedham Square favorite garnered 55 of the 84 votes cast in this week's poll. 

Ron's makes their own ice cream out of a bowling alley in Hyde Park, and delivers it quickly to Dedham for some of the freshest ice cream around.

Ron's, open now for about 13 years, serves up creative flavors - they sold pumpkin ice cream last year - and the classics.

Bubbling Brook in Westwood came in second place with 19 percent of the vote total.
