For years, first graders in Heather Finnerty's and Heidi Graceffa's first grade class have performed the Turkey Wobble song-and-dance. But for the first time, students performed on the auditorium stage on Tuesday morning.

Students showed off their hard work in front of parents in the morning, and planned to have a full-school assembly later on.

Finnerty said the students spent many hours in November practicing the routine, often outside of class time.

After the routine, students each stated what they were thankful for to practice public speaking and part of a writing assignment.
