The Greater Boston Gala Girls, three sisters and a dear friend, are 3 Boston-area working mothers who realized that few friends had time to have fun and festive get togethers so the foursome cooked up an idea to make throwing monthly gatherings quick and easy.
The members are Jennifer Palmer, Jocelyn Meek, Jen Gibbs, and Alexandra Shumway, executive producer and a Dedham mother with three kids. She spoke with me on their new episode, on Dedham, Milton Public television and their YouTube channel, for the month of November. Milton television will have a sneak peak tonight at 10 p.m. but the first part of the episode will be on YouTube tomorrow.
They are urging fans to throw a "Party with a Purpose." Invite 10 friends over and have everyone donate $10 and extra canned goods that you can donate to a local food pantry. This money adds up quickly as you enjoy time with friends. In part one of four, they'll make the signature cocktail for the party -- a seasonal cranberry margarita!

The first ever Harvest Moon Rock Show will take place at The Auld Sod, at 274 Washington St., at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Come out and see bands like Kunochi, Dirty Strange, Audioplane and Gravitas. There is a $7 cover at the door.
