Robbery at Dedham Savings Bank

The bank was temporarily closed while detectives were investigating, but they are now open for business.

 

Dedham Savings Bank located at 55 Elm St. was robbed earlier this morning. 

The only information that is available is that the perpetrator was a white male wearing a orange hat and a white jacket.

Gerard Lavoie, Chief Operating Officer for Dedham Savings Bank, informed Patch that there was no weapon involved and the matter is still under investigation.

"Fortunately no one was physically harmed," Lavoie said.

Lavoie also said that the robber presented a note to the teller, but they are unable to disclose the amount of money that was taken, or what the note entailed.

According to Dedham Police, detectives are still investigating the incident.

Dedham Savings Bank was temporarly closed during the investigation earlier, but is now open for regular business.

not that it matters much, but the description was later updated to a black jacket.
I think the details were also approx 5' 10" and brown hair.
