UPDATE: Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Dedham-Boston Line
Massachusetts State Police say the motorcyclist was at fault.
Dedham Police responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon that claimed the life of a 45-year-old Hyde Park man, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Authorities didn't release the name of the victim Sunday evening because his family hadn't been notified, state police said in a statement.
The accident happened in Boston, on the Hyde Park-Dedham border on Turtle Pond Parkway.
Police say the man failed to stop at a posted stop sign, and collided into a 2011 Ford F-150 truck that was moving through the intersection of Dedham, Turtle Pond and Enneking parkways.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his 2006 Harley Davidson, and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Faulkner Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Ford pick-up truck was not injured, according to the statement.
Massachusetts State Police Troop H are continuing the investigation of the crash, which closed the intersection for nearly two hours.
