Update at 11 p.m., Sunday:

Dedham Police confirm that Joseph Connell, the 80-year-old man from Dedham who went missing on Saturday, was found in Halifax, Mass. in a Walgreens parking lot just after 9 p.m. Sunday evening.

Authorities said first responders were transporting Connell to a local hospital for evaluation. Dedham Police were unsure of the man's condition.

The Dedham Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Joseph Connell, an 80 year old Dedham resident who was last seen leaving his residence on Saturday, December 17 at approximately 11:00 p.m. At that time Connell was driving a gray 2005 Ford Taurus with Massachusetts plate 534-LPS. Connell was believed to be en route to Roslindale.

Connell is a white male, 6-feet-1-inch, 210 pounds, gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket and jeans.

Connell was recently tested for dementia, but passed. As part of Connell’s treatment for another condition, he was given medication that reportedly can cause memory problems. Dedham police have checked area hospitals with negative results.

Connell was reported missing once before and was located in the Blue Hills.
