Patch Picks for Kids on Valentine's Day
The Blue Bunny offers tips on what to look for when your shopping for kid friendly Valentine's Day gifts.
Valentine's Day isn't just for couples in love, it's also for kids who are in love with life.
Margie Leonard is a book seller for The Blue Bunny in Dedham Square and she believes that a parent can never go wrong with giving a book for Valentine's Day.
"Valentine's Day books are always popular," Leonard said.
And there is an educational purpose behind giving a book. Kids will not only have fun reading (or hearing) the story, they will also feel encouraged to read. Something that many parents would support.
Leonard also suggests making projects with kids for Valentine's Day.
"You can never go wrong with getting craft projects for the kids," she said. "Arts and crafts are always popular items to get for any age."
And for those who can't read yet, plush animals and picture books are suggested to make a great gift.
