In Needham, you should make sure you have at least one cell phone signed up with the SwiftReach 911 system for quick notifications via text message, email or phone call. Here's the link: http://www.needhamma.gov/index.aspx?NID=1249. You also should stay tuned to local battery-powered radio or check with weather alerts on weather.gov for the Needham area. We'll post what we can when it's available.

Arlington 8AM - the water level in Spy Pond is the highest I've seen it since hurricane Gloria. The wind is whipping the trees around, but so far no major downed limbs or trees in sight.

Few strong bands of rain and wind still hitting us here in Wilmington. Occasional power blips, few branches and lots of leaves on the ground. Trees around the house still standing. We feel fortunate!

No power in Greenlodge since 12:15. NStar online says about ten percent of it's 1.1M customers are without power. Any word on when it might be restored?
