Package Delivery Driver, UPS, Norwood

Job Description:
UPS is hiring individuals to work as full-time, temporary, seasonal Package Delivery Drivers. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. A DOT physical exam is required. Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills, including the ability to operate a vehicle equipped with a standard (manual) transmission. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s license issued in the state that they live. Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.

Full-time UPS employees work eight or more hours each weekday (Monday through Friday) and typically do not work on weekends or selected holidays.

Office Manager/Executive Assistant, Tobii Technology, Dedham

Job Description:

This position will report to the President, and will perform the duties described below.

You will support the company President with a high level of confidentiality on project work as well as travel and expenses.  You will also provide administrative assistance to the office by ordering office supplies, distributing incoming mail, maintaining office contracts, and providing support to various departments. You will create detailed and accurate notes during executive meetings.

 In addition, you will:

  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; maintaining filing systems; performing clerical functions.
  • Manage the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Assist, as needed, with arranging travel, coordinate hotel reservations, and plan itineraries for large tradeshows, trainings, and company events
  • Sales-related support and monthly reporting using Excel and PowerPoint; gathering information from departments for reporting
  • Maintain legal archive and review contracts and applications for accuracy and completeness
  • Schedule meetings using Outlook and coordinate conference calls
  • Coordinate purchases for the office
  • Organize and oversee  maintenance of all common areas, kitchen, utility rooms, file storage, etc
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years experience in Human Resources
  • Executive Assistant experience with a high level of confidentiality
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Meticulous and attentive to details, as well as highly conscious of goals and quality standards

Package Handler, UPS, Norwood

Job Description:
UPS is hiring individuals to work as part-time Package Handlers. This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering and sliding packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Part-time employees usually work 3 ½ - 4 hours each weekday (Monday through Friday) and typically do not work on weekends or selected holidays.

Package Handlers receive an hourly rate of $8.50 – $9.50. UPS part-time employees also receive an attractive benefits package. Please note that these opportunities are part-time only working approximately 17 1/2 – 20 hours per week. Employees can expect to take home between $110.00 and $150.00 each week after deductions have been taken for taxes, etc.

Great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join our long-standing, growing and highly regarded organization as Payroll Supervisor. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Payroll Supervisor has full responsibility for the management and timely execution of payroll and related payroll reporting for our 1400 employees. Primary responsibilities include providing general oversight of the payroll department, regular account reconciliations and reporting, ongoing payroll process analysis and improvements, payroll processing, and ensuring timely processing of our biweekly payroll.

Qualifications: High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. At least five years payroll experience required. Must have experience working within the payroll function for multiple companies, utilizing a variety of payroll processes and software systems. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Program Assistant-Memore Support Assisted Living, Hebrew SeniorLife, Dedham

Job Description:


The Program Assistant works with the Therapeutic Program Coordinator to plan and coordinate the activities that meet the educational, recreational, social and spiritual needs of the Assisted Living memory support residents. This person(s) will assist in the scheduling activities, arranging and coordinating daily activities with a focus on exercise, cognitive stimulation and the emotional health of each resident. The position requires superior people skills to handle residents, colleagues and other guests of NewBridge. This person must be able to handle stressful situations skillfully.

Responsibilities:
*Assist in developing and running groups to support the program plan of the Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator.

*Assists in designing, developing and distributing activity and event calendars.

*Works with the Therapeutic Program Coordinator to organize community based programs, including trips and multi-generational groups.

*Assesses the residents’ needs, interests and abilities.

*Provides resources for the special interests of the residents, encouraging independent activity.

*Assists in maintaining the supply levels necessary for all future activities.

*Interacts with residents, families, guests and staff in a positive, supportive role.

*Plans and prepares for all upcoming events to ensure their success.

*Maintains flexibility to alter plans when activities are not engaging the participants’ interest.

*Monitors safety and well-being of participants and seeks assistance when necessary.

*Graciously receives complaints and concerns. Acts to correct issues by making requests of others.

*Works within the established safety guidelines; actively promotes safety within NewBridge.

*Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.

*Handle all equipment and tools properly.

Qualifications:

*Two years satisfactory employment in a memory support community.

*Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

*Experience in implementing programs intended to fulfill basic psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs while promoting self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment.

*Must be creative, energetic, patient, sensitive and professional.

*Ability to manage some transporting of equipment or residents.

*Ability to be flexible and autonomous in managing the workload.

*Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
