iPhone 5 Topped 2 million in Pre-Orders
In just 24 hours, the upcoming iPhone 5 has already topped the amount of pre-orders. This doubles the amount Apple had for the iPhone 4s.
The Best Buy in Dedham has already been slammed with pre-orders for the new iPhone 5. And according to Apple, the iPhone 5 has already hit 2 million pre-orders in 24 hours.
Interested buyers have been lining up in front of Best Buy in Dedham every morning in hopes of being one of the first to own the new device.
If a customer pre-orders the iPhone 5 on Apple's website, the company won't deliver the device until Oct. 5.
But Best Buy is accepting pre-orders in-store with a $50 deposit.
"It's been crazy," Gaby, mobile sales associate,Best Buy, said. "And I know that it's only going to get worse once people get their paycheck."
The iPhone 5 will hit stores on Friday, but Mario, the Mobile Manager at Best Buy, isn't too worried about facing the crowds.
"We've been doing this for awhile- so we're use to it," he said.
