Dorchester Man Arraigned on Drug Charges After Dedham Arrest
The 24-year-old faces five drug-related counts.
The following does not indicate a conviction.
A Dorchester man, formerly of New York City, faces three counts of distribution of a Class A drug, possession of a Class A drug and selling within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Stiben Sanchez-Mejia, 24, was arrested Friday afternoon after a month-long investigation where police alleged he sold 2 grams of heroin to an undercover officer on three occasions.
One of those deals, on May 10, was at BJ's Wholesale Club, which is within 1,000 feet of Dedham Middle School, according to court documents.
Police also allege that he sold drugs to the same undercover officer on May 15 and on May 18, the date Dedham Police and Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) arrested Sandchez-Mejia.
Sanchez-Mejia was arraigned Monday in Dedham District Court and was held without bail. He is due back on July 19 in West Roxbury District Court.
