Dedham Police Logs: Shoplifting, Break-in's and More
The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.
Tuesday, Oct. 9
(3:15 p.m.) Police reported to a larceny report on Providence Highway. According to police reports, two black males entered a store and ran out with two new Galaxy S3 cell phones. The surrounding area was checked with negative results. The police asked the employee to see if she can get access to the security video, but she needed to wait for the manager to make a copy.
(4:48 p.m.) According to police reports, a vehicle was broken into on Providence Highway. The owner of the vehicle claimed that she parked her car at 2 p.m. in the side parking lot before starting her work shift. But it was around 3 p.m. when she noticed that her rear passenger window was smashed. The vehicle owner told police that her wallet was the only item that was missing.
Saturday, Oct. 13
(10:15 a.m.) Police responded to Legacy Place for a report of a past assault. According to police reports, there were several individuals that were involved in a physical fight. One of the individuals involved reported to police that they were in line waiting to get into a location. While waiting a male punched him in the face for no reason and jumped on him. The fight was broken up and the suspect left the area. At that time all names were taken and the parties involved were informed that there would be a report on file with Dedham Police.
Sunday, Oct. 14
(2:37 p.m.) According to police reports, a suspect vehicle was discovered at the Dunkin Donut's parking lot at 806 Providence Hwy. The operator of the vehicle was identified as the male party involved in the physical altercation at Legacy Place. He was then arrested on a default warrant.
