Cheese Festival, Benefit Walk on Tap for This Weekend

A look at what you can do in Dedham this weekend.

The crisp fall air is definitely here, and besides taking a drive through town or a walk through the woods to look at the foliage, here are a few things you can do with the family this weekend.

Whole Foods will host a New England cheese festival on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with more than a dozen artisans that will be giving away free samples of their fresh cheese.

If you don't get your fill on cheese, St. Susanna's Parish will hold a potluck supper Saturday evening at 5 p.m. and an opportunity to meet members from the group Peace Walkers, people who aim to bring a message of peace by walking through several southern New England towns.

On Sunday morning, the Pink Rose Foundation will sponsor the 6th annual Anita E. Brefini Walk that starts at 10 a.m. at Bamboo. All walker donations will go toward awarding Pink Rose scholarships.

Also on Sunday, the Rashi School will hold an open house to unveil to the public their new facility on the campus of NewBridge on the Charles. The event will go from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with many activities, including the official welcoming at 2:30 p.m. Parking will be limited, and a shuttle service will be provided from both Dedham Medical Associates and St. John Damascus.
