Summer may be close, but school will still be in session for Dedham students for a few weeks yet. But that doesn't mean residents can't get a head start on their vacation planning for summer 2012.
But planning an elaborate vacation this year could prove tricky for some, what with the continuous friction in the economy and the intimidating gas prices.
In that light, we're using this week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice poll to find out what you think would be a great idea for a "staycation" in the Dedham area. After all, you don't need to go far, or for that long, to get a breather from the normal everyday grind!
Here are some of our favorite places to get away without going far, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:
- Hale Reservation - Westwood
- Wilson Mountain
- Museum of Bad Art
- Fairbanks House
- L.L. Bean (Adventures)
- Legacy Place
- Patriot Place - Foxborough
Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.
So tell us where you'd like to kick back in the area for a great staycation! And don't forget to tell us in the comments below why you think it's the best place in town.
Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. A winner will be determined by Patch editors, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. Voting results posted in real time shall not be deemed official until Patch has reviewed and confirmed all of the votes.
