Alleged Conspirator Charged in Walpole Murder Trial

A Plymouth man allegedly helped dispose of the body.

A 59-year-old Plymouth man was arraigned on charges of accessory to murder last week in connection to the alleged 2009 homicide of Angel Antonio Ramirez, of Framingham.

John Murphy was ordered held on $80,000 bail on Friday at Norfolk County Superior Court after pleading not guilty, according to the Boston Globe.

Paul Moccia, of Dedham, and Daniel Bradley, of Westwood are currently facing first degree murder charges in the same case

Norfolk County prosecutors allege Moccia and Bradley killed Ramirez because of a five-figure drug debt Moccia owed to Ramirez.

Murphy allegedly conspired with Daniel Bradley to put Ramirez's dismembered body in an industrial oven at Applied Plastics in Norwood, where Murphy was employeed, according to the Globe.

Prosecutors notified Moccia's defense in November of new details in how the body was disposed of during a pre-trial hearing.

Assistant district attorney Robert Nelson said investigators uncovered the new developments during an interview with Shannon Murphy, Bradley's ex-fiancee and daughter of John Murphy.

Moccia and Bradley are being held without bail in separate jails as they await trial on the nearly 3-year-old case.

John Murphy is due back in court on Jan. 26 for a pre-trial hearing, according to the Globe.

Moccia is set to be tried in early Feburary with Bradley's trial scheduled to follow.
