5 Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 20

A tai chi class, sunny skies and parking rules.

"Five Things you Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

1. Today’s weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 33. The sun will give way to a partly cloudy evening with an overnight low of 20.

2. The Community House will host a Tai Chi Class tomorrow night at 7 p.m. The class is geared towards beginners.

3. The Zoning Board of Appeals meeting originally scheduled for Jan. 18 has been rescheduled to Jan. 25.

4. A reminder that winter parking regulations are in effect and all residents are expected to park in their driveways (if applicable). Residents without driveways must park on the even side of the street during even-numbered months, and the odd side on odd-numbered months.

5. On this day in 1945, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to an unprecedented fourth term as US President. Since Roosevelt, presidents are limited to only two terms.
