VACANCY—Transportation Advisory Committee

Pursuant to Section 6-13 of the Dedham Home Rule Charter, the Town Administrator calls the attention of all residents and others to the fact the following vacancies exist.

Transportation Advisory Committee—Eight members (5 Voting)

5 voting members include: a member of the Board of Selectmen, a member of the Planning Board, and three residents at-large of the Town appointed by the Town Administrator; all for three year terms, with terms to be initially filled as follows: (1) One-year term to expire 2013; (1) Two-year term to expire 2014; (1) Three-year term to expire 2015. Education, training or experience in transportation planning, management or related fields preferred, though not required.

 

Ex-officio members include the DPW Director, Director of Engineering, Planning Director and the Police Chief or his/her Designee.

 

About the Transportation Advisory Committee

The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) would be responsible for providing oversight of ongoing transportation planning and projects. The TAC shall set priorities, develop strategies, and advocate both within Dedham and with regional and state planning agencies for implementing transportation improvements in Dedham.

Meeting dates and times to be decided upon creation of the Committee.

How To Apply

Any person who desires to be considered for appointment for this position must respond between January 18th and January 28th; interested persons shall file with the Town Administrator, his/her name and residential address, and a resume and/or statement which sets forth in clear and specific terms the qualifications he/she holds for the position.
