The BPCC consists of seven members appointed by the Town Administrator; one member of the Planning Board, a registered professional engineer or architect, an attorney, a person employed in the construction industry and three other persons.

The roll of the BPCC is to survey the growth and building needs of the Town, examine the physical condition of all existing town buildings and determine the need for additions or renovations of existing buildings or for the construction of new buildings for the Town.

Generally, the BPCC meets once each month, usually beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Dedham Town Hall.

Any person who desires to be considered for appointment for this position must respond between Jan. 14 and Jan. 24; interested persons shall file with the Town Administrator, his/her name and residential address, and a resume and/or statement which sets forth in clear and specific terms the qualifications he/she holds for the position.
