Marshall F. F. Knox, Jr., formerly of O’Neil Drive, died Nov. 24, 2012 at Highgate Manor Facility.
He had been a resident of Highgate since July 2007 after suffering a severe stroke.
Born in Chicago, Ill., son of Marshall F. F. Knox, Sr., and Mary E. Jarrett (deceased). Marshall grew up in Iowa, was a college student at Drake University; received his BSEE from the University of Iowa and then enrolled in Computer Programming at Northeastern Community College.
He moved to Massachusetts and continued his studies residing in the Boston area for many years. Marshall worked for many companies, noted was his time at Raytheon; Digital Equipment; and later with his consulting work, particularly with the Town of Dedham.
He is remembered and missed by his long time companion and legal health care proxy, Barbara Carson of 45 years, Greenfield, MA. and his long time close friends, Debbie & Fred Matthies, as well as their son Sean, of Dedham, MA. Also remembered by his friends, Mary and Ken Brown of Ledbury, England. We remember his humor and spirit, his incite on politics, and his ability to connect with those around him.
