Dedham Dancing With the Stars Tickets on Sale Oct. 15

  • October 5, 2011

Dedham Educational Partnership is very excited to announce the 2011 cast for the Dancing with the Dedham Stars held at Moseley's on the Charles at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3. Per usual the cast is an eclectic crew of Dedham citizens!

Deb (Ms.) Gately: Ms. Gately is principal of Dedham Middle School and knows what it is like to get results. Ms. Gately follows in the dance steps of another Dedham principal great who had a very successful run as a Dedham "Star" and she hopes to be number one in the end.

Kevin Hampe: Kevin is not called the Silver Fox (or is it the white knight?) for nothing. Just like when Kevin played hockey for Dedham High, Kevin is very graceful on the dance floor. Kevin's background is that as a lawyer at Winbourne, Hampe & Sheehan and he will ensure justice prevails when he wins at Dancing with the Dedham Stars.

Erin MacDonald: Erin is the Dedham High School varsity field hockey coach and an aide at Oakdale School. Erin is the youngest dancer and hopes to outlast all the older folk. Erin was not even born for the first Dancing with the Dedham Stars, but is quickly adapting to the hectic pace that comes with being a "Star".

Rosemary Rooney: Rosemary is a former town employee who will be making her first appearance at somewhere other than Town Hall. Rosemary knows that years of watching Dedham citizens dance their way out of potential issues at Town Hall will help her dance her way to victory.

Peter Springer: Peter is the DYS Town Registrar and Secretary of the Board for Dedham Youth Soccer. Peter wants the other dancers to take notes as he rules the dance floor. Peter is very excited to dance in front of millions of his fans.

Andrew Shumway: Andrew is head baseball coach and Academic Technology Advisor at Noble & Greenough. Andrew has always been around team sports and is excited to let his individualism come out on the dance floor. Andy credits his award winning dazzling dancing moves from his ability to argue calls with umpires and ability to tap dance his way out of trouble.

Tickets for the event go on sale Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. at Paradise Café. Do not be shut out from this great event. You must be present to purchase tickets and remember this event has always been a sellout so get there early before tickets are gone.

See you all December 3rd for the 2011 Dancing with the Dedham Stars sponsored by the Dedham Educational Partnership.
